Biography
Naveed Mayer Natanzi was born and raised in Los Angeles. He earned his BA in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2007. In the year that followed, he served as a teaching assistant at UCSB and as a private tutor for Kaplan Test Prep. In 2012, he received his medical degree from Western University, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific.
He completed his internship at Downey Regional Medical Center in 2012, followed by residency at the University of California, Irvine, in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department from 2013 to 2016, where he served as Chief Resident in his senior year.
Following his residency, Dr. Natanzi completed his fellowship with sonographer Dr. Marko Bodor. There, he developed expertise in ultrasound as both a diagnostic and therapeutic tool for treating sports and spine conditions throughout the body.
Dr. Natanzi’s Jewish upbringing and education instilled in him the importance of providing care without expectation, especially to those in need. He is driven by the concept of Tikkun Olam, the principle of making the world a better place. He believes social action and philanthropy are a natural complement to the work of a physician and healer.
This was the founding principle behind Kol Ahava, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has supported children with medical disabilities since 2012. Dr. Natanzi serves as the founder and active president of Kol Ahava.
